It could’ve been nice, it would’ve been fine.
If I would’ve stayed back, and didn’t drive the line.
There was a time to call it off, in fall.
I’ve been waiting on a sign too long.
After summers on the road, these places feel so strange.
It didn’t take long, to forget how things change.
That time had left a mark, on me.
Change repeats in all I see.
But all I care, is just the same for all I do.
The opposite of symmetry between us two.
You can’t write songs, about pawning off your soul.
Like taking out your heart, but feelin’ whole.
A few more years alone, wouldn’t hurt so bad.
Go to the same old bars, and never mention that
my time out there was short, it wasn’t a surprise.
Just let me sleep tonight, and never wake my eyes.
One of the best local bands I've ever heard. Great friends of ours. I can't tell you how many times I've listened to "Aging Truths". Ferdinand the Bull
